About

Oh hi there!

After over a decade of working in higher education, predominantly as a university chaplain, I’m delighted to work in hospital chaplaincy. After a year on the night shift as a PRN chaplain, you can find me working in the daylight as a children’s hospital chaplain. I’m also busy chasing my two children and watching television (we live in the golden age of television!) with my partner.

I completed my MA in Religion (with an emphasis on Ethics and Social Theory) at the Graduate Theological Union in conjunction with the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA. My thesis, entitled “Our Lady of Tickfaw: A Look at the Motivations of Pilgrims to Alleged Marian Apparition Sites” sits, likely unread, in the GTU Library. But my research allowed me to explore many of my favorite things: Mary, pilgrims, Cajuns, Louisiana, my grandparent’s porch.

In 2013, my husband and I moved to Morocco to serve as US Peace Corps Volunteers. You can read more about that season here.
